Have just read two good articles on solar and wind power. Unfortunately, I still have not found a good correlation between all the different solar cells and wind turbines available on the market today. It's just the producers' own praises about their products available to read. Articles that I found on We in the house and E24 gives at least some tips on what to think about and what barriers there right now. They are well worth reading.
